It came to our attention that the memorial plaque which was on the wall at the Langlaagte station, was missing.
With the centenary commemoration of the Rebellion of 1914, it was decided to replace the plaque, this time in granite.
We commenced negotiations with the authorities of Metrorail on the 13th of August 2014. After several emails, telephone calls and two site visits, permission was granted on the 25th of September 2014, by PRASA to erect the plaque.
The plaque was erected on the morning of the 28th of September 2014.
