On the 24th May 2014, a Boerkin of friends got together to clean up the Burgher graves in Rustenburg.<\/p>\n

All were excited and got going immediately.
\nThe first thing to be done was to clear and remove all the rubble.
\nThereafter, the grass was cut short and to our surprise a rectangular granite frame was found around the monument!<\/p>\n

Afterwards, spades were used to expose the frame. A concrete slab underneath all the grass and soil was discovered. The soil was removed and the slab cleaned up.<\/p>\n

Everyone was tired, but the end result was most satisfactory.<\/p>\n
